What are Group Lessons?

Penny's Piano Studio is set up where 2 to 5 students can have their piano lesson at the same time. Students are placed together first by musical ability level and then by age (usually, no more than a year difference in age for students 12 and under). Each student will have his/her own digital piano during group lessons.

The method mostly used for group piano lessons at the studio is called the Mayron Cole Piano Method, and it was specifically written for group instruction. The Mayron Cole Piano Method teaches the student to think for him/herself and develops musicality in each student.

Tropical Theme Mini Recital
Spring 2005
Group piano lessons are 45 minutes long. During the lesson we will play through our old music, work on fun sheets (also known as theory), go over what music is to be learned at home, and review all the past concepts through music theory games. Lessons are structured in a manner that students can benefit the most from.

Group lessons are what they are…not a few students together at the same time getting mini individual lessons...we do everything together!
